Strider Golf Adventures was formed by David and Tracy Rostad. Together they have over forty years of experience working in the travel industry, helping Rostad Tours, Strider's parent company, become one of the leading group tour operators in Canada. With a great supporting cast of experienced staff, since 1980 Rostad Tours has been making travel arrangements for groups originating from points across Canada, from Victoria to St. John’s.

Outside of work and raising a family, golf has become David and Tracy’s number one passion. They have been members of Priddis Greens Country Club, located in the foothills west of Calgary, since it opened over eighteen years ago. Golf is definitely a family affair, as both of their daughters are avid competitors and each family member has held the title of Club Champion at Priddis Greens at least once.

It was only natural for David and Tracy to look for golf courses while they travelled around the world and they have been fortunate to tee it up in over twenty different countries. Golf has become very much an international sport with top-notch courses springing up in virtually every country world-wide. Now David and Tracy want to combine their knowledge of travel with their passion for golf and share the incredible opportunities available with friends and fellow golfers. While golf will always be a priority, Strider Golf Adventures also want people to experience the fascinating culture, magnificent sites and enticing cuisine found in each country.

Why is this new company called Strider Golf Adventures? David has been a ‘Lord of the Rings’ fan since his college days, having read the book several times before the recent movie releases. In the story there is a man nicknamed “Strider” who leads a group of travellers on an adventure to faraway places. David wanted a name that would stand out and Strider seemed like a fitting choice considering what the company was designed to provide.
